Anyone who is a fan of Namewee would love to see him live in Malaysia, right? Well, that almost happened in 2019, where Namewee was supposed to headline his 4896 Final Call World Tour on December 31 at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur.

Though, it was soon after cancelled and Namewee took to his YouTube channel to blast the organising company, Star Planet, as well as their managing director, Datuk Alan Foo. He blamed them for the cancellation and held another concert on his own accord, in which he donated the proceeds to charity. Not happy with what was said in the YouTube video, Star Planet then shared, in December 2019, that they will be suing Namewee for RM10 million for defaming their company and Datuk Alan Foo.Well, after 3 years of waiting, the court date has finally arrived Taking to his Facebook page, Namewee shared his thoughts on defamation trial starting today at the Kuala Lumpur High Court.

He wrote, “After waiting for 3 years, the battle finally begins. We are here for those who have gone through hardships with us and those who pursue fairness and justice. We are fighting against the rich and powerful, just like small shrimps fighting against a big shark.” “Although the shark is huge, there are millions of shrimp here that are not afraid of death. Thanks for always making me feel like I’m not alone.”Also read: KL High Court Rules That Swatch Can Challenge Their Pride Watch Seizure Through a Judicial Review
