Oregon State athletic director Scott Barnes is recovering and in stable condition after he experienced a 'medical event' at an awards ceremony on Saturday.

Oregon State athletic director Scott Barnes is recovering and in stable condition after he experienced a “medical event” at an awards ceremony on Saturday.
Barnes was at an awards ceremony at Fresno State, where he attended and played basketball, when the medical event occurred,. Specifics of that event are not yet known, but Barnes was transported to a local hospital. The 60-year-old was able to communicate with family members and medical staff throughout the day on Sunday, too, which was another great sign.
Oregon State University Vice President and Director of Athletics Scott Barnes is medically stable as he continues to receive care in a Fresno hospital.
