Former Auburn quarterback turned heads for his answer during press conference Saturday.
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON - OCTOBER 14: Bo Nix #10 of the Oregon Ducks throws the ball during the second quarter against the Washington Huskies at Husky Stadium on October 14, 2023 in Seattle, Washington. The Washington Huskies won 36-33. Bo Nix, just minutes after his Oregon Ducks fell to Washington on Saturday, gave a passionate, three-minute answer to what was a pretty standard question.“I mean, we are in control. We can win out and put ourselves in a really good spot,” he began.
“A lot of people want see how we respond and I’m excited for that. That’s the challenge I can’t wait for. This group is going to be able to write it’s own story, write it’s own journey. If it was easy, everybody would do it. If there were no failures, then everybody would be playing football, you know? So, I think that’s part of it. You win and lose, go out there and play your best. Go out there and enjoy the process.
“You go out there and do your best to win the game. Sometimes you lose and that’s part of it. I’m proud to be an Oregon Duck. I’m proud to be here. I’m proud to play with this locker room. I’m proud to play for these coaches. It means a lot to me. I’m not going to quit on them and I know they’re not going to quit on me. So, we have a lot to play for as the season goes on. I think it’s a challenge that I’m built for and I think I was just put into this position for that.
