) - The City of Orange Beach says in a post on its Facebook page it is seeking public input on a comprehensive plan, and has set a public meeting for Wednesday on a drainage study for the Bear Point community.
The Nashville-based Walker Collaborative is working on a Comprehensive Plan for the city. Residents and property owners are encouraged to fill out the following public opinion survey to provide input in the preparation of the plan: The Comprehensive Plan will address a wide range of important issues for Orange Beach, including the natural environment, land uses, development, transportation, housing, economics and infrastructure. The survey is only one of several different methods for soliciting public input for the plan. This survey will take approximately 7 minutes to complete, and it is ANONYMOUS, so no identities will be revealed.As part of drainage study for the Bear Point community, a public meeting is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24th at the Orange Beach Community Center. Prior to the meeting, Bear Point residents are asked to fill out the following survey about drainage/flooding issues around their homes: Thompson Engineering, which is conducting the drainage study for the city, will compile all of the survey responses prior to the public meeting.
