"I do hope civility does eventually come to the theatre of politics. But I do fear division has well and truly entrenched itself in the current Parliament," Robert said in his statement.Robert had a tumultuous time as a minister in the previous government,He also attracted criticism for racking up a $38,000 bill for home internet charges, which was paid for by the taxpayers.
"He has my full support to take it up to the Labor Government and hold them to account, whilst at the same time giving Australians an alternative that acts in their best interests—not for popularity, not for social media, just a good decent custodian of government."His statement touted the funding he had delivered for a variety of projects in his electorate on the Gold Coast.He also cited his time as Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme and building Services Australia.
