The ruling African National Congress says it has made progress in building and improving many of the roads in the province. Democratic Alliance Provincial Executive Committee member Sithembiso Mabaso says the dilapidated state of the road demonstrates the failure of the ANC to its people; adding that the DA has an agenda of speeding up service delivery once it gets into power.
