The OPPO A78 sports a smaller 6.4-inch 90Hz display with the same peak brightness of 600 nits but it gets an AMOLED panel with a higher resolution of 1080p. Additionally, the fingerprint sensor has been moved from the side to under the display and it gets a more secure IP54 dust and water resistance rating.

The camera setup of the OPPO A78 is similar to the 5G variant, with a 50MP primary camera alongside a depth sensor on the back while the front houses an 8MP selfie snapper. It maintains the 5,000mAh battery capacity but the charging capability has been improved to 67W.
