Universal Pictures releases a brand-new trailer for the upcoming Christopher Nolan historical drama Oppenheimer, starring Cillian Murphy.
An explosive new Oppenheimer trailer has dropped. The Christopher Nolan film, which is based on the 2005 Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin book American Prometheus, stars frequent Nolan collaborator Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer, the American theoretical physicist who was key to the Manhattan Project's development of the atomic bomb. The film's huge ensemble cast also includes Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., and Florence Pugh.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The new trailer offers prospective viewers a better sense of the film's story, which appears to document Oppenheimer's uphill battle to spearhead the creation of the Atom Bomb and build the required team of scientists. Also included are several new shots of the movie's expansive cast, with Damon's Leslie Groves in particular occupying a prominent role in the footage.
