Opinion: Reduced access will be good of the environment of Mission Bay [Opinion]
Climate change due to natural events and accelerated by the selfishness, greed and ignorance of human behavior is destroying our oceans, polluting our land and killing our wildlife. Migratory birds need wetlands for their very survival. Fish are experiencing die-offs due to their inability to adapt to the rise in ocean and sea temperatures. So our birds are not only losing their food source, they are losing areas of rest and protection on their migration.
We need to nurture and respect our planet, not trash it — even if it’s a little inconvenient or denying someone a little enjoyment.
