as it could negatively affect every person who does not own beachfront property. The bill gives beachfront owners, a small percentage of Texans, the ability to lock out everyone else in the state. Those non-owners will only be able to access the beach between low- and high-tide levels so there will be no beach area to set up the family camp in a “dry zone” for the day. This bill will also deter visitors to Galveston who have doubts about where they can set up camp or visit for the day.
Bottom line is Texans need to take a stand against this bill. Contact your state representatives and make your opinion known.
