Opinion: Find a way to keep San Diego's outdoor dining spots open [Opinion]
When I saw the headline city council votes to make restaurants replace parking spaces that their outdoor dining spots have taken I thought it was a joke.
This is the same city council that charged these same restaurants a ridiculous amount of money to be able to keep the curbside seating after the pandemic. This is the same City Council that has made it much harder on restaurants due to eliminating parking like on 30th Street in North Park and along Park Boulevard to put in bike lanes to appease the vocal minority, but are rarely used.
The hypocrisy is so blatant it’s almost a joke if it wasn’t for the harm it’s doing to so many businesses. I and everyone I’ve talked to no matter what political parties they are with can’t wait for 2024 to vote these people out of office
