Opinion: A new City Hall should not be San Diego's top priority [Opinion]
And they need to go back to a city manager form of government so that we don’t have another 101 Ash Street fiasco.I have not lost the ability to be shocked by our city’s elected leaders. The very idea of spending tens of millions on a new City Hall complex is outrageous. How bad can the current quarters be?
I ask the mayor and the City Council to shelve any spending on city offices until the city makes substantial progress on reducing the number of unsheltered people living on our sidewalks. Surely their accommodations are worse than the current city offices.
