An underwater photo shoot that took place 6.4 metres below the surface of Georgian Bay has been confirmed to be a Guinness World Record.
It’s not a record that’s going to stand long, however, as Haining is in the middle of planning another record-setting shoot in Tobermory that will take place in September.
“We were joking that if we all wore our scuba gear and walked around the studio with our tanks, we could all hang out again. Then we were like, hey, wait a minute, we could actually build sets in the pool and actually do a shoot,” he says.Article content But spending up to 30 minutes underwater in frigid temperatures meant that a host of safety measures, including a diver assigned to supply air to Antoski, had to be put into place. The crew also had to work out ways to communicate underwater, like using lights and sign language.
