Today, however, she emerged in New York City throwing back to her former self, wearing seriously death-defying shoes that only old-school Gaga could pull off. The risqué footwear in question? Leather boots with 10-inch platforms—stilts, really—that she balanced upon with complete ease. It recalled her “Fame Monster” era, where the wackier the fashion was, the better she looked .
Her latest look goes to show that, as much as one’s sense of style evolves, a glimmer of that former self can always resurface. Plus, if you possess the unique talent of being able to walk in dangerous footwear, you have to keep that practice up: something tells me we won’t be seeing her in sneakers anytime soon.
