New monmouthu polling shows just 25% of Democrats want POTUS to run for reelection next year. 44% of participants said Biden should step aside and let another Democrat run for president in 2024.

The poll, which was conducted from March 16 to March 20 with a total of 542 Democratic respondents, found that only a quarter of them said they want Biden to run for reelection next year, while 44% of participants said Biden should step aside and let another Democrat run for president in 2024. The other roughly 30% said they had no preference.

When it came to the likability of the current president, 74% of respondents said they had a favorable view of Biden, while just 14% said they had an unfavorable view. Pollsters also asked participants to compare their preferred 2020 Democratic primary candidate to Biden. Of the respondents, 44% said they believed their candidate would have done better. But 46% guessed they would do the same as the current president. Only 9% believed their candidate would have done worse.The poll comes as the 2024 race begins to take shape. Biden has yet to announce a bid for a second term, but he is expected to do so soon.
