THE percentage of people who have received their booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccine remained low, at 26 percent, a March 2022 survey of OCTA Research revealed, despite 83 percent of respondents reporting that they are 'fully vaccinated' against the virus.Despite this, 51 percent of respondents still said that they will either 'surely' or 'probably' get a booster dose of the vaccine against Covid-19.
On the other hand, a majority of those who said that they are unsure whether they will be vaccinated with a booster shot, at 53 percent, said that uncertainty of its safety is the primary reason behind their decision. This was followed by their belief that the additional shot or booster is not needed to combat Covid-19 , and uncertainty of the booster dose's effectiveness against the virus .
