OnePlus is withdrawing from the United States and Europe, halting new product releases while maintaining support services. The company will now concentrate on India and China, previewing the budget OnePlus N6x for China with a massive battery and potentially 4G-only processors.
OnePlus has announced a significant global business restructuring, exiting the United States and Europe markets. The company will no longer introduce any new hardware products in these regions but will continue to provide software updates, security patches, honor existing warranties, and maintain repair and after-sales services.
This withdrawal follows recent customer complaints in Europe regarding product availability and support. With this strategic shift, OnePlus will now operate solely in India and China. The company appears to be doubling down on these markets, as evidenced by the upcoming launch of a new device tailored for China - the OnePlus N6x.
The phone is currently being teased and is expected to be a variant of the existing N6 model, featuring specifications such as an 8,000 mAh battery with 45 W fast charging, vapor chamber cooling, a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 6.8-inch LCD screen, and a MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex processor. Details remain scarce, but there is speculation that the device might be limited to 4G connectivity.
The OnePlus N6x is part of the N-series, positioned below the Nord series as a budget-friendly offering. While OnePlus has not officially disclosed specifications, teasers suggest the phone will "power your day" and sport a "flagship-inspired design," hinting at a large battery and a design language similar to the N6. According to an India-based publication, the device could be powered by either a Unisoc T7250 or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor.
Both chips support only 4G, which is unusual for a 2026 release when 5G is widely adopted. This choice may reflect OnePlus's efforts to reduce costs amid rising memory and storage prices, especially after recent price hikes on several models in India.
Additionally, Realme, its sister brand under the BBK Electronics umbrella, recently launched the Realme C100x in India with the Unisoc T7250 SoC, also 4G-only, indicating a possible cost-saving trend across the group's portfolio
