Belfast will host over 2,200 young leaders from more than 190 countries for four days of knowledge-sharing and networking
Next week will see Belfast come alive as it hosts over 2,200 young leaders from more than 190 countries for four days of knowledge-sharing and networking at the One Young World Summit.
Compèred by Pete Snodden and Rebecca McKinney, the event will feature a fantastic array of vibrant, young local performers underlining Belfast’s status as a UNESCO City of Music. Supporting these performers will be the talented Matt Weir on drums, the rhythmic Simon Francis on bass while Rosie Barry and Charlotte McCurry will provide the backing vocals.
Then, Belfast boy and alternative rock artist Jordan Adetunji — a musician whose work Rolling Stone magazine describes as a ‘foray into the dreamy hyper-pop world…injected with a defiant spirit that is entirely his own’ — will showcase his upcoming talents to a global audience. Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Ryan Murphy, said the opening ceremony is the perfect opportunity for the city’s talent to show the world what they are all about.
