The family of a missing Arlington man is renewing its call for help from the public on the one-year anniversary of the 22-year-old’s disappearance.

The family of a missing Arlington man is renewing its call for help from the public on the one-year anniversary of the 22-year-old’s disappearance. Jonathan Hoang’s family is hosting a candlelight vigil Monday in Kirkland, the last place he was reportedly seen.

A substantial reward is being offered for information about his whereabouts.Relatives said Hoang followed a routine in Arlington, where he lived with his parents, and that it was unusual for him to leave without telling anyone — especially without his phone or shoes. The family said it is working to keep his case in the public eye. In June 2025, Hoang was reportedly seen on multiple home surveillance cameras walking in a Kirkland neighborhood, more than 30 miles from his home. Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to Hoang’s whereabouts, said Director Jim Fuda. “You’ve got a 21-year-old — 22-year-old now — with the mentality of a 9- or 10-year-old,” Fuda said. “If he’s alive, he’s not on his own, so someone’s facilitating him if he’s around and still in the area.” Fuda said the agency has received anonymous tips from Kitsap, Snohomish and Pierce counties and has passed them on to Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office detectives and the Seattle Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit. “If you see him, stay with him. Call the police immediately,” Fuda said. “Contact him, if you feel comfortable enough, and definitely get us a photo so we can confirm it’s him.”Hoang's family during this last legislative session pushed for the state to create an alert system for missing adults with disabilities, like Hoang.
