Matt Belloni of Puck News now shares that Phil Dunster, who plays Jamie Tartt, won't return as a series regular, but could instead be taking on a smaller role, if he returns at all. Several Actors Are Set To Reprise Their Roles Close It was recently reported that, well over a year after Ted Lasso season 3, there were steps being taken to bring back the hit Apple TV+ series for another installment. Those steps include efforts by Warner Bros. TV, the studio behind the show, to reach out to actors that are a part of the UK acting union to secure their involvement in the upcoming episodes.
The report mentioned that, once those three actors were confirmed, the process would then move to reaching out to actors with SAG-AFTRA contracts. That includes Juno Temple, who plays Keeley, but also Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt as the co-creators and stars. It is mentioned that these discussions could potentially be impacted by budget and scheduling conflicts, which seems to be the issue with Dunster.
In the closing minutes of the season 3 finale, Jamie is seen laughing with Keeley and Roy; suggesting the trio settled their recurring love triangle.
