The Galveston County Organized Crime Task Force, aided by the Galveston County Constable’s Office Precinct 1, executed search warrants on Feb. 5 at two Texas City residences, recovering illegal drugs, currency, and firearms after a lengthy narcotics investigation.

5 at two residences in Searches were carried out at homes in the 2600 block of 21st Street North and the 300 block of 9th Street North. Investigators recovered a large quantity of suspected illegal drugs, U.S. currency and firearms.The Galveston County district attorney’s office accepted charges against two people based on the evidence and the scope of the investigation.Keonda Bell, 26, is in custody. He was charged with two counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance with bond was set at $500,000 for each count. He also faces a charge of manufacture or delivery of a dangerous drug, with bond set at $250,000, and a charge of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair, with bond set at $250,000. Deatrick Black, 45, is wanted on an active warrant. He faces a charge of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon; bond was set at $250,000 for each charge.
