After several weeks since Ohio approved the first provisional recreational dispensary licenses, there's still nowhere to buy recreational marijuana in the state

CINCINNATI - After several weeks since Ohio approved the first provisional recreational dispensary licenses, there's still nowhere to buy recreational marijuana in the state.Since then, the state's received 230 applications for dual-use sales, meaning a medical dispensary would also sell recreationally, and another 190 new dispensary license applications.

Ten facilities have been issued a certificate of operation. That includes four cultivators, the folks who grow the marijuana, and six processors, the ones who create the marijuana products like gummies. said the state is focusing on the cultivators and processors first to make sure there's an adequate supply once the dispensaries start opening.

"We initially had a pessimistic view when the law was first passed just because there was a lot of uncertainty in the legislature. It seemed like there was more opposition. I think it went pretty smooth," said Vedadi.
