Netflix's live-action adaptation of 'One Piece' has wrapped production on season two, offering fans a glimpse of the upcoming adventure. A new image showcases the Straw Hats returning to Loguetown, a pivotal location in the anime's storyline.
Recent days have brought disappointment to many fans of the Straw Hat Pirates as it appeared Netflix wouldn't be releasing season two this year. A recent video showcasing Netflix's 2025 lineup notably excluded season two, leading fans to assume Luffy and his crew's return wouldn't happen until 2026. However, this anticipation might now be premature. Netflix and the series have announced that production has wrapped, accompanying the news with a new image of a familiar location.
Fans eager for a fresh look at Loguetown, rejoice! Season two promises to be packed with new heroes and villains. Introducing characters like Smoker during their Loguetown visit, the Straw Hats will encounter villains such as Crocodile, Mr. 3, and Wapol. The season will also feature future Straw Hats like Tony Tony Chopper and Nico Robin. While many characters have already been cast, the biggest role still lacking an actor is Chopper. Although a full image of the Straw Hats' resident doctor is yet to be revealed, a recent preview confirmed his arrival through CG animation.Loguetown, the last stop before pirates enter the Grand Line, holds significant historical weight. It was the site of the legendary swashbuckler Gol D. Roger's demise. In his final moments, Roger implored fellow pirates to discover his treasure, known as The One Piece, and help forge a new world. This new preview image offers a closer look at Loguetown and the live-action Straw Hats' return. The caption reads, “Straw Hats, our course is set! Season 2 production has officially wrapped, and the Grand Line is fast approaching. Destiny awaits, are you ready to answer the call?” Beyond the core five actors portraying Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji, and Usopp, season two welcomes a plethora of new additions. This list includes Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Clive Russell as Crocus, Werner Coetser as Dorry, Brendan Murray as Brogy, Callum Kerr as Smoker, Julia Rehwald as Tashigi, Rob Colletti as Wapol, Ty Keogh as Dalton, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Cobra Nefertari, Charitha Chandran as Vivi Nefertari, Rigo Sanchez as Dragon, Yonda Thomas as Igaram, James Hiroyuki Liao as Ipponmatsu, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, Mark Penwill as Chess, and Anton David Jeftha as K.M.
