One of Boksburg's oldest residents, Ivy Roos, died on March 9 at the ripe old age of 104 years, six months and eight days old.

In total, she lived in her house in Smuts Avenue, Cinderella, for 67 years, raising two children, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. After living on her own for 21 years, Ivy moved in with her son, Johan, for the remainder of her life.
