Fifty luxury, German-brand vehicles cost millions and are parked at the Government Motor Transport facility in Maitland.The Western Cape government is facing mounting pressure after provoking the ire of political parties to disclose all the details around the purchase of a fleet of new luxury BMW vehicles that remains out-of-service.
The vehicles were procured by the Western Cape’s Government Motor Transport Trading Entity towards the end of 2022 from the National RT57 State contract, which is used by all three spheres of government.
