KGUN9 is working to learn more about an officer-involved shooting that happened early Thursday morning on Tucson's Eastside.
We now have a better idea of what led to an officer-involved shooting on Tucson 's Eastside .
After they arrived, officers were able to get two female victims to leave the home while a man stayed inside. Officers tried speaking to him and learned he had access to a number of firearms, had a history of mental health problems, and had been drinking. While speaking to the man police heard him rack a shotgun.Eventually, the man left the home holding a gun that he pointed in the direction of officers. One officer then shot the suspect with his rifle.
