A major player from The Lord of the Rings films will be lending a voice to the upcoming game Return to Moria, and it's definitely the perfect fit.
The Lord of the Rings films featured a memorable cast of legendary actors, and one will be returning for the upcoming video game The Lord of the Rings: Return To Moria. Developed by Free Range games, Return to Moria ventures into the depths of the former Dwarven kingdom of Khazad-dûm, taking place in the Fourth Age of Middle-earth.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The iconic Dwarf Gimli was a huge part of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings films, and as reported by Eurogamer, Gimli's actor John Rhys-Davies will officially be appearing in Return to Moria. Gimli has a complex emotional relationship with Moria, as he is devastated by its fallen state when passing through it with the Fellowship to avoid the treacherous road over the mountains.
Rhys-Davies' monologue in the opening cinematic acts as an exhortation for Dwarves to return to Moria after its long years of abandonment. Speaking to the sad fate of Moria and the Dwarven diaspora, he calls on Dwarves from across the land to pick up an axe and keep their wits about them as they struggle to reclaim their kingdom.
