One person killed in head-on collision on Highway 6 in Spanish Fork Canyon on Thursday, Oct. 26. One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Spanish Fork Canyon Thursday morning.
Sgt. Cameron Roden with Utah Highway Patrol told 2News that this crash occurred on Highway 6 at milepost 185 about a mile east of Diamond Fork Road at 9 a.m. on Oct. 26. Roden said that an SUV was traveling westbound when it crossed over into the eastbound lanes for an unknown reason and struck a FedEx box truck head-on.The driver of the FedEx truck, a man, was transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance with serious injuries.
Highway 6 is was shut down in both directions at the mouth of the canyon and Thistle Junction while officials assess the scene.
