Rogue One: A Star Wars Story star Felicity Jones is set to star in and produce a scripted Formula 1 television series titled One.
describes One as “a family drama series set in the high-stakes world of motor racing” and notes that the series is the first scripted series to be officially sanctioned by the organization. The series will follow the “tumultuous ascension” of a fictional family-owned Formula 1 racing team and aims to blend fiction with the world of F1.“It is an honor to be part of this unique and exciting partnership with Formula 1,” Jones stated.
“Felicity is one of the most talented and engaging actresses in the world,” Isabelle Stewart, Head of Original Content, Formula 1 said. “We are thrilled to partner with her, Tony, Philippe, Mark and Hawk, to bring the glamorous, high-pressure and competitive inner workings of the world of Formula 1 to life for audiences across the globe.”
Though it depends on the writers strike’s resolution, the series will be written by Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, who are also set to executive produce. Though they’re likely best known as the creators of
