One dead, one injured in San Pasqual Valley Road crash [Breaking]
One man was killed and a second injured in a single car crash on San Pasqual Valley Road about 2.5 miles east of San Pasqual Academy, San Diego police said.
The crash occurred around 9:15 p.m. when a Honda Civic piloted by an unidentified 34-year-old man was driving east on San Pasqual Valley Road. He apparently lost control of the vehicle when the road curved to the left, then went off the road and slammed into a boulder, according to the police account.
The driver was fatally injured and died at the site of the crash. A male passenger suffered internal injuries and was taken to a hospital. His condition was not known. San Diego police traffic division is investigating but the police said at this time alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
