BAY POINT — A woman died and a man was hospitalized Wednesday after both were stabbed, and detectives are searching for the culprit, authorities said.East Bay woman bit cop on the head after groping teen girl, police say Authorities did not identify the woman, citing the investigation.
The two were a couple, according to a statement from Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Jimmy Lee.near the border of unincorporated Oakley and Bethel Island on Feb. 23. It was the first homicide in Bay Point since Oct. 23. There were three homicides in Bay Point in 2025. Sheriff’s office deputies from the agency’s Muir Station responded about 4:25 p.m. to the violence in the 100 block of Riverside Place following a medical call, the sheriff’s office said. Deputies arrived to find the two people bleeding from stab wounds. The woman died at the scene. The man went by ambulance to a hospital; authorities did not have an update on his condition. The sheriff office’s homicide unit is investigating and seeking information from anyone.
