One person has died and two more are seriously hurt after a horror collision in Bolton, where locals have called for help after a litany of car crashes on the same road in recent years
Sergeant Phillip Collingwood of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "This was an extremely tragic incident in which someone has lost their life and two others have sustained serious injuries."No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
The road is reportedly known for dangerous driving and residents have seen several car accidents over the years."It's tragic what's happened and I do hope everyone involved is okay as it looks like a very serious accident."One woman who lives near to the scene told the Bolton News: "I heard it, it was loud."You can see the state of the cars. I've lived here for 16 years and there have probably been about seven serious incidents on this stretch of road.
