“Dark Brandon” celebrates Biden’s recent accomplishments while turning “Let’s Go, Brandon” on its head, creator says
“I thought it was funny,” Stone said of the Let’s Go, Brandon phenomena. “I didn’t see any huge amounts of harm to it aside from people being kind of immature about things. I had kind of written it off. I hadn’t seen it as a big issue. But it has been fun to kind of turn it around on its head.”
Stone said he plans to keep doing the memes as a fun distraction from the job hunt, and to celebrate his party’s accomplishments. And if it helps energize his fellow supporters even a little bit, all the better, he said. Stone majored in political science, public policy and administration, with graphic design as an off-hours hobby. He hopes to land a behind-the-scenes job in politics. The memes have helped raise is profile some, he said, and helped start conversations with shops in Washington, D.C., and his home state.
