rapidly approaches, political candidates are currently out in full force with their respective campaigns;’s cold open last night hosted a fictitious “Equality in America” town hall event where all the frontrunners tackled how they would focus on LGBTQ rights should they become president. On the roster was Cory Booker , Pete Buttigieg ,’s Billy Porter, who moderated the town hall as though it were a vogue ball.
Highlights from the skit included Buttigieg asking, “Why am I not winning this? I’m a veteran, I’m under the legal retirement age, and when I talk, it makes sense.” There was also Miranda as Castro, whobusted out in song with “Alexander Hamilton.” And then there was Warren who, in real life earlier this week,after being asked about if marriage should be between a man and a woman.
