Storms are back Mother's Day
A flood watch will start this morning at 7 AM and stay in place for the next 24 hours for Madison, Houston , Trinity, San Jacinto and Walker Counties. We are tracking another 2-4″ of rain with downpours of 6″ in some areas. The flood threat also comes with a chance for severe thunderstorms that may produce hail and damaging winds.Tracking a line of severe storms to the north of us in areas like Waco to Lufkin.
Sunday and Monday rain totals could reach 2″ to 4″ the exceptions will be northeast of I-10 where communities could touch 6″ or more if we see training storms . On the opposite end near the coast could struggle to hit an inch.After Monday we return to sunshine before another round of rain and storms arrive late week.
