An acolyte of street artist James Colomina sells bottled water from the Seine River ironically described as ‘finely polluted’ in front of the Eiffel Tower Paris. Colomina’s installation is to draw attention on the investment by Paris City Council to clean up the Seine for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The aim of this symbolic action is to denounce the exorbitant expenditure and to question the sustainability of this initiative.
The River Seine was declared clean enough for swimming in tests from mid-July, but doubts remained as to whether the waters would be fit for competition.
