Olivia Wilde has responded to rumors that Harry Styles is getting paid more than Florence Pugh for her upcoming film, Don't Worry Darling. An actress and filmmaker with nearly 20 years in the entertainment industry, Wilde first gained traction largely for her recurring role in the teen drama series, The O.C., in the early 2000s. Since then, she's gone on to take roles in films like Tron: Legacy, Cowboys & Aliens, Rush, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

With big names attached to the film, it wasn't long before rumors about Don't Worry Darling and its stars began to run amuck.
"There has been a lot out there that I largely don’t pay attention to. But the absurdity of invented clickbait and subsequent reaction regarding a nonexistent pay disparity between our lead and supporting actors really upset me. I’m a woman who has been in this business for over 20 years, and it’s something that I have fought for myself and others, especially being a director. There is absolutely no validity to those claims.
This unfounded rumor came shortly after another similar one. After Wilde had posted a behind-the-scenes photo of Pugh on the set of Don't Worry Darling, and Pugh didn't share anything about the film in return, some speculated a feud between Wilde and Pugh on the basis that Pugh was unhappy about Wilde and Styles’ relationship, leading tabloid outlets to make something out of it, too.
While Pugh is assuredly getting the same pay as her male co-star for Don't Worry Darling, unfortunately, not everyone in Hollywood has been fortunate in this regard. Earlier this year, after a Teen Wolf reunion movie was announced as in development, it was reported that actress Arden Cho, who played Kira Yukimura in the series, declined the offer to return because as a woman of color, she was only offered half the salary than her co-actresses.
