The 21-year-old pop star took fans behind the scenes from her Guts World Tour as the venue was preparing to set up for her concert later that night. Wearing a tank top that read "We come to this place for magic" with crystal encrusted hotpants, Rodrigo seamlessly launched into a lipsync of the lines from Kidman's viral AMC commercial.
"We come to this place for magic. We come to AMC theater to love, to cry, to care. Because we need that — all of us," the pop star said while walking around the stadium venue, even eating from an oversized bag of popcorn for extra flair. "That indescribable feeling we get when the lights begin to dim and we go somewhere we've never been before, because here, they are."
Kidman was more than happy to see Rodrigo's recreation of the AMC ad — she shared the TikTok to her Instagram Story on March 27 with a sweet message. "You just won me some major points with my girls!" thestar wrote, talking about her teenage daughters Sunday, 15, and Faith, 13. "Adore you @oliviarodrigo xx."
Rodrigo's spoof comes at a great time for fans of Kidman's AMC ad. Starting on March 1, AMC moviegoers will be treated towith the actress in theaters worldwide, with two new versions of the original ad being rotated in the upcoming months. But until then, revisit Kidman's original ad below.
