The Department of Transport has issued a warning, urging drivers to avoid the area around Rod Laver Arena on concert nights. Some dedicated fans have even been camping out for days to secure prime spots.

An urgent warning has been issued to fans heading to Olivia Rodrigo ’s Melbourne concerts and also to those who will be in the vicinity of the stadium over the next few days. On Wednesday, the Department of Transport warned of potential traffic gridlock in the area outside Rod Laver Arena over the four nights the Grammy winner will perform.

Olivia Rodrigo fever hits Melbourne Drivers have been urged to avoid the area on Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday nights. Those heading to the concert should also prepare for crowded trains, trams and buses and check the public transport apps for the best options. On Wednesday morning, Sunrise reporter Andrew McCormack met some of the dedicated fans outside the venue and told the show about 200 fans were waiting.
