A man was shot and killed in a Chicago police shooting on Blackhawk in Old Town, CPD and CFD officials said.

A Chicago police officer shot and killed a man early Sunday morning in Chicago's North Side Old Town neighborhood, a CPD spokesman said.

Police got back in their squad car and found the suspect, described as a man about 20 years old, a second time. There was a large police presence in the area of Blackhawk Street and Hudson Avenue after the incident, blocking off some roadways. A 34-year-old Chicago police officer was also hospitalized after the incident, Chicago fire officials said.The Civilian Office of Police Accountability was on the scene Sunday morning.
