Women are behind some of the most groundbreaking discoveries in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), from everyday items like coffee filters to life-saving inventions like vaccines.

When they announced their STEM goals in 2020, Olay pledged $1 million to support women in STEM. They have accomplished this through the initiatives below.In February 2021, amidst a difficult year of virtual learning across the country, OLAY supported teachers with a"science lessons-in-a-box" created by Olay scientists. These kits empowered educators to keep science alive in their physical/virtual classrooms through experiments and messages of encouragement from women in STEM.

In September 2021, Olay sent more than 1,000 girls to code camp with Black Girls CODE as part of our #DecodetheBias campaign to help diversify the computer science field. OLAY joined the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time in 2020 with the Her Future is “STEM-sational” float.Olay is a worldwide leader in skincare that women have trusted for over 60 years. Olay maintains a deep understanding of women's changing needs and offers products backed by superior science to meet them.

Olay is announcing a new endeavor to honor Mary Golda Ross. She was the first-known Native American woman engineer and the first woman engineer of Lockheed by debuting a statue located at the First Americans Museum in her home state, Oklahoma, with advisement from the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum to ensure the statue is historically accurate.Research shows people tend to mentor others who are 'like them.
