'We made this change to ensure that we can accommodate as many individuals as possible as they rejoin the workforce,' Oklahoma Employment Security Commission Executive Director Shelley Zumwalt said.

She added that the state is"hopeful" that federal unemployment benefits will end by the end of June and"we will begin to see decreases in the state's unemployment numbers."
