We are looking for a molecular / synthetic biologist to join Evolutionary and Synthetic Biology Unit at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST). You will study fitness landscapes in microbial systems using combinatorial DNA libraries, evolution experiments, sequencing, and machine learning.
We are looking for a molecular / synthetic biologist to join Evolutionary and Synthetic Biology Unit at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology . You will study fitness landscapes in microbial systems using combinatorial DNA libraries, evolution experiments, sequencing, and machine learning.
Candidates should hold a PhD in microbiology, genetics, biotechnology or related field. Comprehensive knowledge of molecular biology, expertise in microbiology, DNA work , and heterologous expression in microbes is a must. Experience with combinatorial DNA libraries, genome editing, barcoded lineage tracing, assay automation, and/or coding skills are highly desired.
