A Creek in Pennsylvania A water conservation order has gone into effect Tuesday for more than 42,000 people in the Mechanicsburg area after an oil spill in Silver Spring Township.
DEP responders were able to trace the source of the leak to an underground storage tank at the Cumberland-Perry Area Career and Technical Center in Mechanicsburg. At last check, DEP has confirmed that the discharge to the waterway has been stopped and that absorbent booms are in place to assist with the clean up.
