CLEVELAND, Ohio — Since moving down a year ago from Division II, Toledo Central Catholic continued its run with another state championship in Division III and an undefeated season.
While the Fighting Irish remain favorites, they must replace several standouts, including Iowa recruit Jaylen Watson at receiver and running back Marquan Braswell. Northeast Ohio has remained a strong contender, producing state champions from Chardon in 2020 and ‘21 before Canfield in 2023. Kenston won it all in 2018.The road to Canton and Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium begins Friday, Aug. 23 with Week 1 and concludes with the OHSAA state championships from Dec. 5-7.
