There have only been seven times in Big Ten history that one school has swept the men's and women's league track and field titles as OSU did Sunday.
Both the Ohio State men and women earned first-place finishes in the 4x100-meter relay. The women's team of Yanique Dayle, Anavia Battle, Nya Bussey and Leah Bertrand beat the field by more than a second .Another highlight for the Buckeyes was the OSU women earning all three spots on the podium in the 100-meter dash. Bussey edged out Battle in a photo finish and Dayle ended up third .
Battle defended her 200-meter dash title with a wind-aided time of 22.28, matching her personal best. Eric Harrison defended his men’s 100-meter title with a run of 10.02 seconds and also captured the 200-meter championship in 20.12 seconds. The Buckeyes will now prepare for the NCAA Regionals, hosted by Indiana and which run from Thursday, May 26 through Saturday, May 28. Nebraska – 71
