Ohio State announced attendance as 75,122 for its spring football game on April 15, the largest crowd in the nation for a scrimmage this year.
Ohio State will lead the nation in spring football game attendance for the first time in more than half a decade.on April 15, a figure larger than those reported by the other top schools in the Power Five conferences.
Nebraska, which held its spring game on Saturday, drew 66,045 fans, making up the second-biggest crowd this month, followed by the estimated 63,000 that attended Penn State’s Blue-White game the previous weekend. The other attendance leaders include Alabama , Tennessee , Oklahoma , Georgia , South Carolina and Clemson .
A small handful of spring games remain scheduled for the next two weekends, but none will be played in stadiums that maintain a seating capacity larger than the crowd that had filled most of the Horseshoe to watch the Buckeyes hold their intrasquad scrimmage.
