Ohio State will wear white jerseys with gray sleeves for its CFP semifinal matchup with Georgia.
Ohio State donned uniforms with gray sleeves for its previous four CFP appearances in 2014, 2016, 2019 and 2020. That tradition will continue once again in 2022.by Reid Murray of Ohio State's school newspaper, The Lantern. Murray wrote that the football program's director of equipment services Kevin Ries confirmed the Buckeyes would sport the white uniforms with gray sleeves as the"away team" of the neutral site matchup with Georgia in the Peach Bowl.
According to the football program's tweet, the jerseys have several markers that make the threads unique, including the words"FIGHT," which are a reminder of the Buckeyes' team values, a diamond Nike swoosh exclusive to CFP teams, a Peach Bowl badge and gray sleeves that"pay homage to past champions."
Ohio State and Georgia kicks off at 8 p.m. on New Year's Eve and will be broadcast on ESPN following the conclusion of the Michigan and TCU's matchup in the Fiesta Bowl, which is set to begin at 4 p.m. ET in Glendale, Arizona.
