Ohio State rattled off its third consecutive Big Ten win at Penn State, 83-64, with John Mobley Jr., Bruce Thornton and Devin Royal each collecting at least 15 points.

For the first time in three years, Ohio State has completed a three-game winning streak in January. Perhaps even more impressive, two of the wins have come on the road.

Mobley and Thornton each hit triples before the second media timeout of the contest as Mobley added a floater and Royal collected four points around the rim. Sean Stewart knocked down a layup and Ohio State rolled out to an 18-11 advantage early. From there the Buckeyes worked to extend the lead going into halftime. Mobley sank a circus three and knocked down two technical free throws, Royal strung together back-to-back buckets over strong contests to make it a 15-point ballgame. Penn State answered with a Baldwin 3 and a tomahawk dunk, but the edge remained 43-33 Ohio State entering the locker room.

When Thornton hit one of his signature step-back 3-pointers three minutes later, the game felt all but over at 74-56. A Mobley make made the lead 20 for good measure, and Ohio State held on for a 19-point win from there.
