Ohio State basketball target to announce his commitment on Monday

Four-star Dorian Jones is down to four schools, including the Buckeyes and Michigan.

SANDUSKY, Ohio — One of Dorian Jones’ teammates set him up for an alley-oop immediately after the tipoff Saturday during Richmond Heights’ final matchup during the Midwest Live boys basketball showcase at Cedar Point Sports Center.His Buckeyes are one of four finalists announced last week by Jones, who will make his commitment known Monday afternoon. Michigan, Missouri and Rutgers are the other three.

“When I was a sophomore, I didn’t know much about basketball,” Jones said. “I just came in hooping. Now I know it takes dedication, hard work and focus.” Ohio State’s offer came two years ago, right before his first Midwest Live appearance. While Chris Holtmann was the coach then, Diebler established the connection.
